The New Shelby GT500 is one of the Best Mustangs ever put into production. With its Supercharged 5.4 Engine it is the most powerful Mustang ever produced by Ford. However, Ford left available for aftermarket power upgrades, with some of the best bang for the buck modification around. With just a few simple bolt on parts and a little dyno tuning you can easily add 120+ horsepower to your GT500.

We have already modified several GT500 and have discovered the best upgrades available are a Cold Air Intake, a new supercharged pulley (3 more pounds of boost), x-pipe with high flow catalic converters and a programmable engine management computer for a custom dyno tune.

A customer of ours John that recently did these simple bolt-on parts put down 624 HP and 604 LB torque that’s a 124 horsepower gain at the flywheel. These test where conducted on a MD250 Mustang Dynameter, which is a loading dyno and should not be confused with a non-loading DynoJet.

John’s 2008 GT500 featured below is equipped with a Steeda cold air intake, Steeda supercharger pulley, Bassani X-pipe with high flow catalic converters and Bassani Quiet Thunder mufflers. The ECU was reflashed with a Diablo Predator Tuner with tuning done by Matthew Puzey at TECMOTION.

Run 1: Is rear wheel horsepower with modifications listed above, Run 2: Is the completely stock base for the GT500
