Steeda's new adjustable clutch cable part number 172-0201 is designed specifically to be a direct bolt-on to 1996 and newer Mustangs. Most adjustable cables up until now were designed for the older "fox body" Mustang. While they would work on the newer cars, some extra work was required to complete the installation. Steeda's new cable has the correct mounting bracket and length for a perfect no-hassle fit on 1996 through 2002 Mustang GT, Bullit, and Cobra. Like all Steeda clutch cables, this cable features a stainless steel inner cable and low friction lining, along with a high-durometer bushing at the firewall for improved clutch response and cable life. Clutch engagement height can be adjusted by turning a nut at the end of the cable when the cable is used in combination with Steedaís aluminum quadrant (pn. 555-7000). IT MUST BE USED WITH AFTERMARKET QUADRANT.
